ACTIVITIES

There are various activities, tailored to meet individual needs, carried out, either on an individual basis or as a group, by our activity staff. These may involve outside entertainers visiting the home, including singers and choirs. We are also able to organise short shopping trips and visits to the local garden centre.

ENVIRONMENT

The home employs a team of laundry and domestic staff, to ensure the residents always have clean clothes and the home maintains a clean environment.

THE GARDENS

The home is surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens that are regularly attended by a professional gardener, employed by the home. There are raised flowerbeds for the use of those residents that also enjoy a ‘bit’ of gardening.

STAFF DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING

All staff receive mandatory training, which is updated regularly and most staff are very experienced in caring for the elderly. Most carers are trained to QCF level 2 and some to level 3. Registered nurses are in attendance throughout the day and night. Their training complies with the NMC through revalidation to maintain our nurses professional registration.
